About

After completing a Ph.D. degree in biology, I have been working as a scientist involved in nature conservation. However, the creative impulse has always been present – I have been engaging in creative pursuits for more than 30 years. I work with plant art and visual arts using textile techniques, mixed media, and printmaking. Currently, I am studying for a Bachelor of Arts at the Open College of the Arts in the UK (OCA). I am based in Copenhagen (Denmark).

The feeling of encountering and connecting with nature is a deeply felt personal interest. My main inspirations are the ‘ways of Nature,’ observing how things grow, decay, and entangle within nature. I am interested in using natural materials to raise questions about our relationship with and care for nature. My practice is grounded in research and curiosity. Environmental concerns, my studies of biodiversity and more recent critical plant studies inform my creative process as well.
