The feeling of encountering and connecting with nature is a deeply felt personal interest. My main inspirations are the ‘ways of Nature,’ observing how things grow, decay, and entangle within nature. I am interested in using responsible, bio-materials to raise questions about our relationship with and care for nature.
My practice is grounded in visual and material research and curiosity. Environmental concerns, biodiversity and critical plant studies inform my creative process as well.
After completing a Ph.D. degree in biology, I have been working as a scientist involved in nature conservation for many years. The last 10 years I have also worked professionally with plant art as well as visual arts using textile techniques, mixed media, and printmaking. Currently, I am studying for a Bachelor of Arts at the Open College of the Arts in the UK (OCA). I am based in Copenhagen (Denmark).
