About

My practice is grounded in visual and material curiosity. Environmental concerns, biodiversity and critical plant studies inform my creative process as well. I also try to open myself to a more inquisitive wonder that supplements the research based approach.

The feeling of encountering and connecting with nature is a deeply felt personal interest. My main inspirations are the ‘ways of Nature,’ observing how things grow, decay, and entangle in nature. I am interested in using materials responsibly, reusing and recycling old stash as much as possible. I also collaborate with plants to raise questions about our relationship with and care for nature.

After completing a Ph.D. degree in biology, I worked as a scientist involved in nature conservation for many years. The last 10 years I have focused on visual arts using textile techniques, mixed media, and printmaking as well as various biomaterials. Currently, I am studying for a Bachelor of Arts at the Open College of the Arts in the UK. I am based in Copenhagen (Denmark).
