This dynamic piece from 2024 is part of a series of work that aims to give abstract form to multispecies thinking by Donna J. Haraway. Haraway speculates that we can (and must) learn from ‘playing string figures with our companion species.’ (Dimensions 50×28 cm).
Here, I am making-with the roots of wheat to construct an organic, flowing, and knotted abstraction. So, this piece is part plant, grown in a template with crochet patterns, and part me, actively entangling with them.
